Home health care worker arrested for stealing from elderly clients

LEDYARD — Police arrested a woman after she stole from elderly clients she was caring for.

Police took Aleesha-Lin Wood, 25, of Norwich into custody on Friday.

According to officials, a lengthy investigation revealed Wood had stole from several elderly clients in her care in the Town of Groton. Wood stole over $10,000 worth of jewelry, gold and silver coins, silverware, and money from the victims.

Wood was working for Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services at the time. Wood was released on $10,000 bond.
