HARTFORD–We reported on Labor Day that gas prices in Connecticut are at a summertime low, but newly released information indicates that drop is an even bigger deal.
A new report from AAA says Connecticut ranks seventh in the country for the largest yearly drop in gas prices. The average price for gas in the state is $2.55, which is $1.18 less than on the same date in 2014.
However, Connecticut’s average gas price of $2.55 is still more than the national average of $2.39.
Gas prices are expected to continue dropping in the next several weeks.
