NORTH HAVEN–Police are searching for a male and female suspect after a good Samaritan was robbed.

On Tuesday around 6 p.m. a North Haven man was driving in the parking lot for the Bank of America located at 35 Washington Ave. when a man and woman flagged him down. They said they were having car trouble, and asked for help.

When the victim helped the couple, they got into an argument, and the male suspect pulled out a gun. The suspect hit the victim over the head with the gun, and then he and the female suspect took the victim’s car and fled the scene.

The victim walked to the North Haven Fire Department, where they provided medical assistance.

The male suspect was described as: a tall, thin black man in his mid-20s wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The female suspect was described as: around 25-years-old, about 5-foot-5, 155 pounds with shoulder-length wavy hair wearing a floral dress.

The car that the suspects left behind when they stole the victim’s car was a black 2000 Nissan Maxima.

Several witnesses told police that the suspect couple was hanging out in the parking lot for hours before the incident occurred.
