HEBRON – The Hebron Harvest Fair is expected to bring in big crowds this weekend, which is a good thing after the event got off to a rough, rainy start on Thursday.

The four-day event is in its 45th year and is a tradition for many people in Connecticut, especially Hebron residents.

“It’s one of the best events that the town hold,  and it's one of the greatest things we have to offer to people outside of our town,” said Ray Bieri of Hebron.

People come back year after year for the farm animals, rides, games, crafts and food. Organizers expect around 34,000 people throughout the event.

“I think it's really the quintessential small town fair,” said assistant fair superintendent Devon Garner. “It really brings the community together. “

The fair has several new attractions this year, including a pro rodeo on Saturday and Sunday, and a new beer and wine pavilion for adults.

Hebron will welcome country artist David Nail to the fair on Sunday.
