NEW BRITAIN — Now that the New Britain Rock Cats have played their last game, the team is holding a tag sale.

The club is selling all televisions, signs, merchandise and game-used items, including uniforms, batting practice jerseys, bats and helmets for 50 percent off.

“Obviously a lot of history here in New Britain and a chance for fans to come down and purchase you what is left of an era for rock cats baseball,” said Jeff Dooley, the radio voice of the Hartford Yard Goats.

The sale is being held through Friday from noon to 8 p.m. in the team store in New Britain Stadium, 230 John Karbonic Way, in New Britain.

Earlier in the month, the Board of Directors of the Atlantic League voted to conditionally approve of the relocation of an Atlantic League baseball team to New Britain for the 2016 season. The franchise is moving to Hartford and will become the Hartford Yard Goats.
