FRANKLIN–Police are investigating an untimely death of a man whose body was found on  Route 32 in Franklin Thursday afternoon.

Shortly before 5 p.m. the state Department of Transportation closed down Route 32, just north of Route 207.

The state medical examiner was on the scene to determine the cause and manner of death, and the Eastern District Major Crimes unit was on scene investigating with the medical examiner.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 5’6’’ tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a blue tank top, greyish/blue cargo shorts, blue sneakers and a gray New Jersey Nets baseball hat.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about the victim or may have seen a man walking in the area within the past 24 hours, to contact the Eastern District Major Crime Squad at 860-896-3230.

An autopsy will be done to determine how the man died.

The road has re-opened.
