4 firefighters, 2 civilians injured when firetruck and Bentley crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY–Four firefighters are recovering tonight after a firetruck crashed with a car.

Around 8 p.m. Engine 8 was t-boned by a Bentley that was pulling out of a driveway on Oronoke Road.

The truck had moderate damage, while the Bentley’s front had heavy damage.

The passengers in the Bentley had bumps and bruises, as did three firefighters. A fourth firefighter broke his hand.

No charges will be filed in the crash, according to the Fire Department.
