NEW HAVEN — Commuters will not be alone on Thursday and Friday heading from Connecticut into New York City.

Expect to see many other people on the train trying to get to New York to get a glimpse at the Pope.

The MTA is keeping extra trains on stand by for Thursday and will run extra trains starting tomorrow. Today the MTA is warning commuters about the extra amount of people traveling into the city, also expect beefed up security.

Friday night the Pope will lead a prayer and tomorrow afternoon is the parade and mass at Madison Square Garden.

The city is getting ready for a lot of travelers in cars too. Roads will be closed on Thursday and Friday so expect a lot of congestion. If you do not have to travel into Manhattan in the next few days i may be best to stay home.
