Fireball Run revs up in Hartford

HARTFORD - This weekend kicked off the 9th season of the Fireball Run space race.

It is a trivia-themed competition where contestants drive 2,000 miles from Hartford to Florida's space coast!

Saturday was the opening day and Sunday morning is when the actual race begins.

Teams have eight days to complete the game by solving trivia clues along the way.

The whole journey will be recorded in real-time and streamed online.

Filming for the production will end one week from today in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

You can catch the series on several platforms including google play, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.

The event raises awareness for America's missing children.. In the past, the series has helped in the recovery of 44 missing children.
