Custodian arrested for drugs at Fairfield elementary school

FAIRFIELD — Police arrested an elementary school custodian on drug charges after finding drugs in his car at work on Monday.

Police said the principal of Mill Hill School called them about possible drugs being possessed by a school custodian.

Officers found a small amount of marijuana, two containers which contained a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

Anthony J. Piccolo, 48, of Fairfield was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession Near a School, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Piccolo was released and  is scheduled to appear in court on October 7.
