HARTFORD -- Victoria Mazzarelli, the Artistic Director of the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory and breast cancer survivor joined Fox CT Morning Extra to talk about Thursday’s Pink Party.

Mazzarelli was diagnosed with breast cancer and wants people to know that you can get through even the most difficult times with courage and determination.

The Pink Party is a “party with a purpose” in partnership with Komen Connecticut. Located in Blue Back Square in West Hartford, there will be live music, entertainment and activities for all ages.

Local breast cancer survivors will hit the pink runaway in a survivor fashion show outfitted in the latest fashions from nearby retailers, and modeling trendy hair and makeup looks provided by various Connecticut stylists.

Local food vendors, live music, raffle prizes, and SWAG bags stuffed with donated items ranging from gift cards, cosmetics, tasty treats and other goodies

Saint Francis has been involved with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for more than 20 years.
