ROCKY HILL -- Neighbors across Connecticut are wondering what they would do with more than $300 million dollars. That's how much Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot was worth.

One winning ticket was sold in Michigan. A million dollar winner was sold in Connecticut.

"Every once in a while, but when it gets up to this kind of money, I'd make it a point to get a ticket," said Holly Maurice, who stopped by a convenience store in Rocky Hill to pick up a ticket.

The rules and odds will be changing beginning October 4. The pool of regular numbers will grow from 59 to 69, while the number of Powerballs you can choose shrinks from 35 to 26. The new odds mean it'll be easier to win a prize, but harder to win the jackpot.

The winning Powerball numbers for September 30 were 40-59-21-39-55  PB:17
