HARTFORD - Heavy rain in the early morning hours on Wednesday caused flooding, downed trees and some power outages.

In East Haddam, as many as 1,300 customers were in the dark, but power had been restored by 8:45 a.m. There were other scattered outages around the state according to Eversource and United Illuminating.

In Waterford, there was minor flooding on Rope Ferry Road, Great Neck Road, Route 156 and Gardiners Wood Road.

There was a tree down on Vine and Mansfield Streets in Hartford, but it has been removed.
