Yale beats Harvard on endowment returns

NEW HAVEN — Several accomplished individuals with dyslexia are speaking at a conference intended to promote a deeper understanding of the learning disability this week at Yale.

The leaders of the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity are also expected to discuss advances in dyslexia research at the gathering Friday at the Yale School of Management.

The conference is entitled “Slow Readers, Fast Thinkers: It Takes a Dyslexic Brain.”

The people expected to share their stories include David Boies, the attorney who represented Al Gore in the Bush versus Gore case in the 2000 election; Delos Cosgrove, president of the Cleveland Clinic health care organization; and Ari Emanuel, co-founder of a Hollywood talent agency.

Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama, is expected to deliver opening remarks at the conference.
