WEST HARTFORD -- Hundreds showed up at Blue Black Square in West Hartford on Wednesday afternoon for the annual Pink Party .

Previously scheduled for Thursday, October 1, Pink Party took place Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Pink Party is a “party with a purpose” in partnership with Komen Connecticut. Located in Blue Back Square in West Hartford, there was live music, entertainment and activities for all ages.

Local breast cancer survivors also hit the pink runaway outfitted in the latest fashions from nearby retailers in a survivor fashion show, and they modeled trendy hair and makeup looks provided by various Connecticut stylists.

Local food vendors turned out to support the cause, and there was live music, raffle prizes, and swag bags stuffed with donated items ranging from gift cards, cosmetics, tasty treats and other goodies.
