SEYMOUR – Police arrested an Ansonia woman Tuesday afternoon after she inappropriately touched  a juvenile teenager at a Seymour skate park.

Police said Jennifer Johnson, 37, of Fitzpatrick Road in Ansonia,  also made inappropriate comments that were sexual in nature to other juveniles at the park.

Police said shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon they responded to the Pine Street Recreation Center in Seymour for a report of a woman trying to lure kids into her vehicle at the skate park located on the community center grounds.

Police said Johnson arrived at the skate park looking to have a sexual encounter with a 16-year-old male. When he couldn’t be found, Johnson began making inappropriate comments and sexual innuendos to several teenagers who were in the vicinity.

Police said Johnson then fondled one of the teenagers in an aggressive and sexual manner on “sensitive areas” of the teenagers’ body. Johnson continued to “act in an irrational manner” and police were called.

She was charged with five counts of risk of injury to a minor, one count of fourth-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree criminal attempt to commit sexual assault and one count of second-degree breach of peace. She was unable to post $100,000 bail and was arraigned Wednesday morning at the Derby Superior Court.

Officers arrived on scene and found Johnson sitting in a vehicle with a juvenile female. The juvenile appeared nervous and was removed from the vehicle by police.

Johnson was taken into custody without incident and held until her arraignment.
