The museum has just gone a bit beyond infinity by showcasing the new "Science Behind Pixar" exhibit -- 10,000 square feet and eight different sections dedicated to the super computing and creative process that goes into the making a Pixar film come to life.
"It really brings together two things that we value which is fun and learning," said Christine Reich, the museum's director of exhibit development.
Visitors can also learn about how processes like the rigging, sets, cameras, lighting and rendering all play into the final product you see on the screen.
"What we're doing is giving the visitors access to that behind the scenes look at how computers are used to generate the animation," Reich said. "You really get a sense of the computing power behind these movies."
The "Science Behind Pixar" exhibit runs though January 10. Tickets cost $29 for adults and $26 for kids ages 3-11. Advanced tickets are recommended.
