WILLIMANTIC — Police arrested a man after he was intoxicated at a bar with his children early Sunday morning.
According to police, Glen White, 48, of Newtown, was at an undisclosed bar with an 8-year-old and an 11-year-old. When White was asked to leave, he was observed getting into a car with his children.
When police arrived, they saw White walking to his relative’s house with the children, who were under dressed for 2 a.m. temperatures. Police arrested White and charged him with risk of injury to a minor.
Officials from the Department of Children and Families are making arrangements for the children.
White is being held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
