WEST HAVEN--Ada wants to help you learn about cybersecurity.

Ada is a robot created by Devon Clark, a graduate student researcher at the University of New Haven. And she was developed for a very special reason.

"People can interact with her, they can view pages, they can read RSS feeds, read tweets," Clark explained.

Ada can check email accounts to see if they've been hacked, and can offer advice for students and consumers.

"How they can better protect themselves online, 'cause that’s really what Ada’s all about: it's teaching people how to be safe online," Clark said.

Ada went for a walk around UNH on Wednesday, and she quickly became the "big robot on campus."

She seems like fun and games, but Ada really does teach an important lesson in cybersecurity to younger kids who may not know a lot about the topic.

According to Abe Baggili, assistant dean at the school, "One of the big problems is, as young people, we don’t grow up thinking about how to protect ourselves. And it needs to be something we teach, you know, the youngsters.”
