SHELTON – One woman was killed and her daughter injured after a crash Thursday evening that also injured another woman.
Police said Leigh Sabo, 24, of Shelton, was driving north on Bridgeport Avenue near Nells Rock Road around 6:30 p.m. when her car struck a SUV driven by Leigh Brewster of Monroe.
Sabo was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries, and was later pronounced dead. Her 15-month-old daughter was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Brewster suffered serious injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
