Multiple people injured in New Britain shooting

NEW BRITAIN — An early morning shooting left three people injured on Sunday.

Police were sent to the area of Chestnut Street and Columbus Boulevard shortly before 3:30 a.m. for a report of a man who was shot. They located the man in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police determined the victim was not shot in that area. The victim was sent to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Officials were then called to the Hospital of Central Connecticut, where two other victims suffering from gunshot wounds, arrived in a private vehicle. They were both treated for non-life threatening injuries.
