PLAINFIELD–School officials made a decision to suspend the varsity football team for one game after an inappropriate group chat popped up.
The Plainfield High School football team will be banned from playing in Friday night’s game.
The team members use the app in which the group message was discovered to discuss the team, plays and other things. The principal said one of the chats turned “very inappropriate” and violated the school and athletic department codes of conduct.
The principal said this is a school-based issue and police are not involved.
