HARTFORD–Happy Halloween!
Well, almost. It’s almost the spookiest night of the year, but have you thought about what you want to dress up as?
Well, Google released statistics on the most searched Halloween costumes for 2015. The data was collected between September 8 and October 8.
The search engine also released an interactive graphic that gives a more local look at popular costumes.
In Connecticut, Hermione Granger, one of Harry Potter’s best friends, takes the cake. But in Hartford, Harley Quinn is number one–and it’s not just the capital city. Harley Quinn is the top trending costume nationally.
Other popular costume searches in Hartford include Star Wars, which was only narrowly beat out by Harley Quinn, then superhero, Wonder Woman and cheerleader to round out the top 5.
Some selections are definitely timely, such as Massachusetts residents’ desire to be Caitlyn Jenner, or Idaho and Rhode Island residents’ love of Disney’s “The Descendants.” Others are yearly classics, such as Illinois entering with cats, or D.C. residents wanting to save the city as firefighters.
