HARTFORD – A critically injured teen, who was shot along with another man Wednesday night on Cherry Street in Hartford, has died.
At around 10:15, police responded to a firearm assault complaint.
Upon arrival, Ricardo Rivera, 19, of Hartford, was found unresponsive. He had been shot in the head was found lying near the entrance to 7 Cherry Street. The other man had been shot in the torso.
Rivera was taken to St. Francis Hospital by ambulance and eventually put on life support. On Friday, he was pronounced dead, making him the city’s 28th homicide victim of the year.
