NORWICH — A juvenile was arrested after police said a flare gun was fired during a fight.
Police were called Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. to Williams Street and Uncas Street for a report of shots fired.
They found that five juveniles went to Williams Street and were involved in an altercation with another juvenile. One of the juveniles fired a flare gun pistol at the victim, which hit a house nearby and started a small fire that went out on its own.
There were no injuries reported.
One juvenile was arrested and charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, reckless burning, criminal mischief, and carrying dangerous weapon.
The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent and will appear in Juvenile Court Waterford at a later date.
