WINDSOR LOCKS — Elected officials stopped a casino proposal in its tracks Tuesday night.
The First Selectman Steven N. Wawruck, Jr. said the proposal never made it to a vote in a meeting at town hall.
The Connecticut Airport Authority wanted to bring a casino to Bradley International Airport.
Developers so far also have pitched locations in East Hartford and Enfield for a casino that would be jointly run by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe.
The tribes are aiming to compete with an MGM casino planned for Springfield, Massachusetts.
