Stamford PD: Robber threatened to shoot 4-year-old

STAMFORD – Police said a man attempted to rob a woman and shoot her 4-year-old child in Stamford earlier this month.

On Saturday, October 17, at around 8:30 p.m. an armed black man approached the victim as she was pacing her child in the care and attempted to rob her, near the intersection of South Pacific Street and Woodland Place.

During the course of the robbery he threatened to shoot the child, according to police.

After the incident took place the suspect ran off East on Woodland Place.

Police are attempting to identify the man depicted in the video. Anyone recognizing this individual please call police at 203-977-4417.

Police said the man may not be from the Stamford area and he may be transient.
