WATERBURY — Two men will face a judge Wednesday morning, in connection with a shooting incident with a paintball gun that injured a child.

Damaine Brockett, 28 and Benjamin Estrella, 26, both of Waterbury, will be arraigned this morning on several felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a paintball shooting that injured a 7-year-old girl.

The incident happened in the vicinity of Angel Drive in Waterbury. Police say they stopped the suspects on Oakville Avenue and Eastern Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and found paintball guns in the car.

During the stop, police received a call from a woman who said her daughter was hit in the eye with a paintball. After an investigation, both men were arrested.

Brockett and Estrella face assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy and risk of injury to a minor charges.
