HARTFORD–The Hartford Police Department is investigating after a mayoral candidate’s office was robbed.

Electronics were stolen from one of Luke Bronin’s offices on Albany Avenue, and one of the employee’s had cash taken from him.

Police say that  “there is no indication that it was a crime directed specifically at the campaign,” though the investigation is ongoing.

Bronin defeated incumbent Mayor Pedro Segarra in the Democratic primary election for Hartford mayor earlier this year. The general election will be held on Tuesday.
