THOMPSON – A Thompson man is being charged with selling heroin from his home and hiding it in his children’s bed.

On Wednesday just before 6 p.m., state police executed multiple search and seizure warrants at 434 Quaddick Road in Thompson.

Police said Monahan was also in possession of four stolen guns hidden throughout the property and said the guns were linked to several burglaries in the Thompson and Woodstock area.

Due to the three children, aged 1-9, living in the home and sleeping in close proximity to the drugs and guns, the Department of Children and Family Services responded to the scene, and removed the children from the residence, according to police.

Monahan was held on a $125,000 bail pending his court appearance on Thursday in Danielson Superior Court. He was charged with possession of narcotics, operating a drug factory, risk of injury to a minor, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
