HARTFORD — A 10-year-old Hartford girl who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found safe. Police say Destiny Santana was last seen riding her bike Wednesday evening and her mother called police when she didn’t come home after dark.

Hartford Deputy Chief Foley says Santana arrived home on her own and said she was hiding in a nearby park. She was unharmed.

The Silver Alert has been cancelled.

Silver Alerts are issued by law enforcement agencies for missing people of all ages. Amber Alerts are issued for children who are believed to be in danger.
