WALLINGFORD--On Friday, November 6, around 3:40 a.m., police responded to a home on Clifton Street for a report that something had been stolen out of a car. The victim said she heard her car alarm go off, and when she went outside she noticed it had been burglarized.

Five other vehicles were broken into Friday morning, and other victims had things stolen as well.

One of the officers saw a black Honda Accord with the license plate 393ENH being driven in the vicinity, and when the officer tried to pull the person over on South Colony Road, the driver didn't stop and accelerated, engaging the officer in a short car chase that was ended because the suspect car was going too fast.

The officer saw the vehicle enter the Wharton Brook Connector onto the entrance ramp for I-91.

A registration check showed the 2001 Accord had been reported stolen from North Haven on October 25.

Wallingford Police recommend residents lock their car doors and be vigilant. if you have any information, please call Wallingford Police.
