HARTFORD – Police are looking for the suspect in a robbery at the People’s United Bank at 290 Franklin Avenue.

He entered the bank just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday, and handed the teller a note that said, “I have a gun, quiet,” according to police.

He handed the same teller another note that said, “I have a gun and a bomb, give me money.”

The teller gave the money from her drawer to the suspect, who shoved the money in his pockets and left the bank. Police say the suspect got away with $3,160.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s and reportedly spoke with a Spanish accent. He is described as a light-skinned male with a slight beard. He was wearing a blue hoodie, black printed T-shirt, and a blue Yankee’s hat at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured during the robbery.
