NY man in critical condition after being shot in Stamford

STAMFORD — Police are investigating a shooting  Sunday night that left one man in critical condition.

Police were called to 84 Myano La. around 7:30 p.m. Sunday and found a 25-year-old White Plains, NY man who had been shot in the torso, the left arm and left leg.

Investigators determined that the victim and another man were walking in the area when they were approached by a Hispanic man. After a short conversation, police said a light skinned black man came out from behind  a tree and shot the victim. The suspects ran off, headed north on Myano Lane.

Police said they have obtained video from security cameras nearby and will release it later Monday.

Police said the first suspect is believed to be a light skinned  Hispanic man in his early 20s, and wearing a dark hoodie. The suspected shooter is described as a light skinned black man in his early 20’s and also wearing a dark colored hoodie. Police said he may be in possession of a revolver and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone having any information is asked to call police at 203-977-4417.
