OLD SAYBROOK - An hour workout takes-up just four-percent of our day. It's a shocking fact that Kati Papoosha, co-owner of Iron House Fitness in Old Saybrook, wants to drive home to busy parents.
"It's very important to give yourself that four percent because the hardest part is getting yourself here," she says. "Then once you leave, you're so happy you did it."
The gym, open just one year, has a following on the shoreline, folks who are drawn to the graffiti covered walls and upbeat atmosphere. Along with the fresh attitude, Papoosha is motivating others by tapping into up-and-coming fitness trends, offering a new approach with modern technology that's especially appealing to women.
