The many stories of the victims of the Paris attacks

PARIS–There were 129 lives lost on Friday, November 13, when a group of ISIS members launched six terrorist attacks in Paris. In the week that followed the death toll was increased to 130.

Bombs and machine guns killed many innocent lives that day, lives of soccer and music fans, lives of people who just wanted a night out on the town.

On Wednesday, the French Council of Ministers announced that all 129 victims had been identified, and that more than 100 of the bodies had been returned to the families. The rest will be given back to the families by the end of the week.

Much of the focus has been on the attacks themselves, and the attackers. But many are also finding ways to honor the victims.

The victims were from 19 different country, many of them students or tourists who were new to France. Some of the countries other than France include: Algeria, Belgium, Chile, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela.

Mashable has created a Twitter account with the handle @ParisVictims, and each tweet is dedicated to one victim, offering a picture and brief description of the person.

We have photos of some of the victims above with brief epitaphs, and we’ll continue to update the gallery as more pictures are released.
