Suspect in New London homicide of woman he lived with appears in court

NEW LONDON -- A man arrested in connection with a homicide will appear in court Thursday.

David McKeever, 48, is faced a judge in New London after police say he killed Delma Murphy.Delma Murphy and David McKeever

He's charged with murder, interfering with police, and disorderly conduct.

Police arrested McKeever after the body of Murphy, 46, was found in a home on Cole Street in New London Wednesday.

At 12:02 p.m. police responded to reports of a suspicious incident. They found Murphy in the upstairs bedroom of the home.

The body showed clear signs of trauma, and police said they would investigate the incident as a homicide.

Both Murphy and McKeever lived in the house.
