MIDDLETOWN — Connecticut State Police say they have not investigated any fatal accidents so far during the holiday weekend.

Police say as of 9 a.m. Friday troopers had investigated 185 accidents, 26 involving injury, but none involving death.

Troopers had also made 15 drunken driving arrests and cited 488 drivers for speeding. They had handed out tickets for more than 1,200 other violations, including seat belt use, cellphone use, and following too closely.

The department’s enhanced holiday enforcement effort lasts until Sunday night.
