3 dogs and their handlers graduate from State Police Canine Training

178th K9 Class

MIDDLETOWN — The Connecticut State Police Canine Training Unit announced the graduation of the 178th Arson Class on Friday. Three
canine teams graduated.

Three dogs and their handlers graduated. Two will go on to work with the Connecticut State Police and one with the Massachusetts State Police.

The Connecticut dogs were purchased with a donation provided by the Chris Guari Service Award Fund & the Michael Davis Scholarship
Fund.

Graduating in this class were: Trooper First Class Paul Makuc and K-9 Cora, Trooper First Class Wayne Opdenbrouw and K-9 Sprite, and Trooper Michael Fagan and K-9 Landis.
