HARTFORD–Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin paid a visit to Hartford on Wednesday night.

The gymnast stopped at the XL Center before this coming summer’s women’s US Secret Classic and men’s P&G Gymnastics Championship.

Liukin, who is now retired, will comentate at that competition, as well as at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next summer.

“I will actually be commentating. So I don’t compete anymore, but I’ll be on the other side of the camera, and it’s a fun way for me to stay involved in something that I’m so passionate about.”

Liukin won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in the all-around competition, and is also a four-time national champion.
