Tessa is a Shepherd/Chow Mix, who is about six-years-old. She was rescued from a local pound after she was hit by a car, and brought to the vet by a good Samaritan.
No one ever claimed her from the pound, so Protectors of Animals rescued her and fixed her up. She is a quiet, gentle dog; medium energy; she likes her walks and outings, but is content to relax.
She has great manners and is not the type of dog that will jump all over you, or get all crazy excited. Tessa is calm, obedient, and very lady-like so she would be great in a calm, routine home with older kids and other dogs would be fine.
She will want to be part of the family, included on errands, soccer games, etc. She’s the type of dog who’d be welcome anywhere you go, because she’s so calm and well-mannered. She’d be a great sidekick for someone who wants an easy-breezy dog companion as their “shadow.”
