SOUTHINGTON–Some super hero makers met another type of hero on Tuesday.

Mark Wahlberg visited ESPN on Tuesday to film a spot with Will Ferrell in which they guessed fans’ favorite football movies, and afterwards he was a bit hungry. The actor decided to take a quick drive from Bristol to Southington to stop at a grinder shop that gets tounges wagging: Nardelli’s Grinder Shoppe.

The restaurant posted a photo of Wahlberg stopping by, and one of the employees, AJ Pete, even commented on the post that he was lucky enough to serve Wahlberg, and now knows the actor’s favorite sub: an Italian combo without olives and hot sauce on half of it.

Wahlberg is actually a restaurant owner himself. He and his brothers Donnie and Paul own the Wahlburger burger chain in Massachusetts, which launched four years ago.
