WILLINGTON – State Police said they arrested two men in possession of counterfeit credit cards, suspected stolen merchandise and brass knuckles.

On Tuesday, just before 11 p.m. state police were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-84 west in Willington. Police said they clocked a 2012 Dodge Charger at 88 mph by laser, and pulled the car over in the area of the Willington rest area.

The occupants indicated that they did not have any receipts for the merchandise, and they were unable to provide specific locations of the stores where the merchandise was purchased, according to police.

The credit cards and merchandise were seized as evidence, and the driver and passenger were arrested.

Sinclair was charged with reckless driving with weapons in a motor vehicle, and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. He was held on $10,000 bail and was also scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Wednesday.

Police said the investigation is still active.
