EAST HARTFORD -- Three officers were injured Tuesday afternoon during an incident in East Hartford just before 3 p.m.
The officers fired three shots at the suspect vehicle, but the suspect was not hit.
"One of our supervisors saw the car driving away," said Dan Warriner, who was working in a nearby office building. "There were shots fired and at some point we noticed somebody was on the ground."
An on-duty East Hartford Traffic Unit officer saw the suspect car and started to chase it before it pulled over voluntarily on Knollwood Drive. A suspect was taken into custody.
None of the officers' injuries are considered life threatening. Two of the officers were released within a few hours of the incident, but one was still being treated and will be held overnight.
FOX 61 photojournalists at that scene saw police collecting items that appeared to have been discarded from the getaway vehicle by the suspect.
Police say McNeilly is the only suspect, and believe this was an isolated incident.
