STAMFORD — Police said an intoxicated man pulled a fake gun on an officer Thursday night, and several shots were fired but no one was injured.
Police said Officer Steven Estabrook was on patrol when he saw a car stopped on Grove Street, just south of Forest Street. The officer saw that the driver was passed out in the car.
No one was injured and Garcia-Ramirez was taken out of the vehicle. Investigators later found a fake gun in the front seat of the car along with a partially empty bottle of whiskey. Garcia-Ramirez failed a field sobriety test, police said. He refused the breathalyzer test and was charged with driving under the influence, interfering with police and possessing a facsimile firearm.
He was held on $100,000 bond and is schedule to appear in court Friday.
