Ask the Atty:
I recently received a letter from an attorney who represents someone who is suing me. He claims to have fallen in the street in front of my home due to an accumulation of snow. The attorney says that I was negligent, because I shoveled snow off of my driveway and into the street.
I know that I had done that in the past, but I had nowhere to put the snow.
Can I be liable to someone who falls on the public street?
