Sonic the Hedgehog and Michael Jackson. Could a popular video game from the 90’s and the King of Pop somehow be connected?

For a long time, one avid fan of both believed that was the case, and just recently his theory proved to be correct.

Ben Mallison came up with this theory that Michael Jackson wrote the music in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It was pretty far-fetched, since Jackson’s name never appeared in the credits. But imagine his satisfaction when after years of standing by this theory when it proved to be true.

According to Todd van Huling from Huffington Post, Mallison noticed that the music in the game sounded a lot like Jackson’s, but he had to wait years for answers.

For years Mallison and others seeking answers reached out to anyone who worked on a sonic game and looked for clues.

Now, the men Sega credited for writing the music say they indeed worked with Jackson on the music that did end up in the final product.

However, Sega still maintains they never worked with Jackson on Sonic 3.
