Last winter, snow storms pummeled much of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. In Boston alone, the 20-year record for snowfall was broken, and the city spent nearly double its $18.5 million yearly budget for snow removal by mid-February.
The Blizzard of 2015, known to some as Winter Storm Juno, hit the Northeast on January 26 and 27.

Governor Dannel Malloy shut down roads as some towns in Eastern Connecticut saw three feet of snow. Cities and towns had problems getting the roads fully clear and UConn struggled to clean up its main campus.
