Route 15 southbound reopens in New Haven after crash

NEW HAVEN — Route 15 was closed in the southbound direction in New Haven after a crash around 3:10 p.m., but has since reopened.

There were two accidents near each other; one was a two-car crash, the other a single-car crash. The crashes occurred between exits 60 and 59 around 3:10 p.m., which is where the road was shut down. The left lane reopened around 4:40 p.m., and the entire highway opened later on.

At least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries.

The closure occurred at the start of the evening commute, creating issues.
