HARTFORD — Breanna Stewart scored 19 points to lead UConn to an 83-40 rout of Memphis on Saturday, extending the team’s winning streak to 57 games and giving the Huskies their 23rd straight 20-win season.

The Huskies (10-0 American Athletic) are 20-0 for the ninth time in program history.

Five UConn players scored in double figures.

Mooriah Rowser had eight points to lead Memphis (12-10, 6-5), which lost for the first time in four games.

All five Husky starters scored in the first five minutes and UConn jumped took 22-8 lead after the first quarter. It was the 11th time this season the Huskies have led by double digits after the first 10 minutes.

A jumper by Kia Nurse stretched the lead to 20 points at 30-10 midway through the second quarter. It was 38-16 at halftime, and 66-28 after three quarters.
